Stalking, Theft, Harassment: Ridgewood Police Blotter
Village police responded to a number of incidents between Sept. 21 and 30, including reports of harassment, stalking and property damage.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ - Village police responded to a number of incidents between Sept. 21 and 30, including reports of harassment, stalking and property damage.
You can read about those incidents below in the police blotter provided by the department:
- On Sept. 21, a Chestnut Street business reported a theft and fraud. The business owner reported two fraudulent checks were created and cashed by an unknown person. The fraudulent cashed checks were reported to be in excess of $6000. The business owner notified his bank and the incident is being investigated.
- A Wilsey Square business owner responded to Ridgewood Police Headquarters on Sept. 22 to report a stalking, harassment and theft. The business owner reported the accused placed harassing fliers around the Village of Ridgewood causing alarm. The complainant reported the accused removed mail from his business and changed the return address. The complainant is considering signing complaints at this time.
- A Bogert Avenue resident responded to Ridgewood Police Headquarters on Sept. 27 to report harassment. The victim reported the actor posted photos on Facebook which caused alarm and believed to be harassing in nature. The victim was advised of her right to sign a civilian criminal complaint, but reported she will consult with an attorney prior to signing criminal complaints.
- On Sept. 30, Ptl. Patrick Daly responded to a Hillcrest Road residence to investigate criminal mischief damage. Upon arrival the victim reported discovering damage to a garage window and damage to a parked vehicle inside the garage. There were no signs of forced entry and the damage was documented. The amount of damage is unknown at this time.
