• Nor'easter Tears Through Jersey Shore (patch.com) — Rumson residents are cleaning up after a powerful nor'easter brought flooded homes, electrical fires, downed trees and wires, and even a fox swimming through neighborhood floodwaters. Local firefighters narrowly avoided damage when a falling tree nearly struck an Oceanic Fire Company engine on Rumson Road, while other Jersey Shore communities also reported severe flooding, rescues, and beach erosion.
   

• Public Information Session About Monmouth County Bridge (wbjb.org) — A key bridge linking Rumson to Middletown over the Navesink River is slated for replacement, and officials are weighing how tall the new span should be. Rumson residents can attend a public information session in Middletown to learn about options, including a much higher fixed bridge recommended by the Coast Guard, and share how navigation and neighborhood impacts should be balanced.
   

• Shore Sports Insider Football Top 12, Week Five (shoresportsinsider.com) — Rumson-Fair Haven's unbeaten football team is holding strong at No. 3 in the Shore Sports Insider Top 12 after a tight 29-22 win over Manalapan. Local fans can look ahead to a huge showdown this Friday, when Rumson-Fair Haven travels to undefeated Donovan Catholic in a game that could reshape the Shore Conference pecking order.
