Posch Boutique in Rumson Offers Personal Styling
This River Road boutique offers high end brands with a young look and personal shopping to bring out the chic in you.
It's one thing to visit a boutique and snap up a new mini or a peasant blouse. Putting them to good use is another matter entirely.
Unless Stacey and Clinton live in your closet offering you quips about jackets that give you structure and the importance of a completer piece, then you have probably struggled with putting together an outfit now and again.
Megan Mosera, owner of in Rumson, wants you to know that you don't have to drive to Short Hills Mall to get help with putting together a current look with hot brands.

Her store is tucked in at ground level in the shops near , an unlikely home for a boutique with a zebra print logo and chic black and white decor accented with deep purple. Mosera, who opened the shop three years ago with a friend and is now its sole owner, is realistic about her shop's location on East River Road out of the foot traffic of neighboring business districts.
"It's a destination," she says. And to make sure it's a desitnation her customers come back to, Mosera, aims for a high level of personal service and offers personal shopping, denim fittings and overall styling.

Often, Mosera said, a customer will come to her shop and say, "I'm going out tonight - make me an outfit." And so Mosera will hit the racks and pull pieces she knows will work, in part because she tries on every item when it comes in to test its fit.
The core clientele is the 18-45 year-old range, and Mosera said, "We do a lot of mother daughter shopping."
Posch Boutique carries brands like Ella Moss, Hudson Jeans, Free People and House of Harlow with an emphasis on statement pieces. Garmets generally range from $50- $100, with dresses about $100-$150.
"We don't have a lot of basics here. We offer something different you can't find at the mall."
Once Mosera has dressed a client she moves to style the outfit with accessories like agate slice pendants, chandelier earrings or a light scarf. She might also choose a clutch or stack some beaded bracelets. Adding the accessories, she says, is less about upping the sale and more about completing the outfit.
Mosera says she keeps her jewlery, bags and scarves reasonably priced because, "You don't want to spend another $100 on earrings."
Her customers, she said, "just want something fun, something for $30 for tonight."
This season her shop is filled with brights - coral, turquoise and emerald - in light, short sleeved blouses, flowy maxi-dresses and short skirts. The warm weather that got everyone excited in March may not be back yet, but her customers aren't waiting.
"They are over long sleeves," she said. "They want summer."
