Rumson Earns Tree City USA Recognition For The 30th Year

The Borough of Rumson earned the recognition by meeting the program requirements. Rumson has reached 'Tree City USA' status 30 times.

RUMSON, NJ — The Arbor Day Foundation recently named the Borough of Rumson a “Tree City” in recognition of its commitment to effective urban forest management.

This is the borough's 30th year participating in the program.

Rumson received the recognition through meeting the program's four requirements — a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, an annual community forestry budget of at least $2 per capita and an Arbor Day observance and proclamation.
