Parlance Chamber Concerts Presents The Jerusalem String Quartet

Renowned for their “amazing technical finesse and overwhelming musical insight” (BBC Music Magazine), the Jerusalem String Quartet returns to Parlance Chamber Concerts on Sunday, April 26 with an expressively wide-ranging program featuring works by Haydn, Beethoven, and Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Shulamit Ran, whose bewitching 2025 work Betwixt and Between was composed in honor of the Quartet’s 30th anniversary season.
The program will culminate in Beethoven’s Quartet in B-flat major, Op. 130, including the boundary-pushing Grosse Fuge. This monumental work—by turns rustic, playful, introspective, and adventurous—showcases the full range of Beethoven’s extraordinary late-life inventiveness and mastery.
