An Afternoon with Shakespeare For Fun at the Library

Shakespeare for Fun is back for another inspiring afternoon of reading.

Spend a lively afternoon with Shakespeare for Fun, and join us as we read aloud from the Bard’s beloved plays in a relaxed and interactive setting.

Join in for a very special afternoon of Shakespeare at the Scotch Plains Public Library on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 2:00pm. Whether you’re a seasoned fan or new to Shakespeare, this is your chance to explore his timeless words, have fun with fellow readers, and enjoy a bit of theatrical flair.

Bring in a favorite monologue or scene if you have one -- there will also be a selection of scenes, monologues, and sonnets to choose from. Come for a lighthearted, engaging experience—no experience necessary, just a love for great stories!

The afternoon will be led by local resident Bonna Tek. She has an MFA in acting from New School University, and worked in Manhattan as an actor from 2000-2012, and participated in the Shakespeare Lab at the Public Theater.
