Hypertension Clinic and Senior Wellness Event at Scotch Plains Public Library on May 2

On Friday May 2, 2025 a public health nurse from the Union County Office of Health Management will be in the Adult Room of the Scotch Plains Public Library to take blood pressure readings. The nurse will be available between 10:00am-12:00pm. No appointment is necessary.

Coinciding with this event will be another wellness event: The Senior Living and Wellness Morning at the Scotch Plains Public Library on May 2nd at 10:30am.

Join us to enjoy coffee, tea, and community while learning about services, benefits, tools, and more that are available to local residents to promote wellness, resilience, and longevity.

Our featured speakers will be: Luis Ramirez, Outreach Specialist for the Union County Division on Aging, Tina Khadivi, Founder of PhysioPilates Works, and Brenda Council, Outreach and Communications Manager for Visiting Angels Scotch Plains.

Speakers will share their expertise and insights on resources for seniors aging at home and those leading active lifestyles. You'll learn about home safety tips, fall prevention strategies, nutrition assistance, comfort services and opportunities for recreation and social connection.

Each guest will receive a gift bag that includes valuable information as well as delightful treats.
