His alcohol blood content revealed to be 0.23 percent, almost three times the legal limit of 0.08​: report

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Former Scotch Plains Police Chief, who was arrested following a drunk driving crash, was found to have his blood alcohol content to be three times over the legal limit, according to nj.com.

Brian T. Mahoney, 51 was arrested around midnight on Saturday, Sept. 10 when he crashed he veered off New Durham Road in South Plainfield in his 2016 Dodge Durango and struck a pole, splitting it in half, according to nj.com.

Mahoney was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for his injuries and his blood alcohol content was tested, which revealed to be 0.23 percent, almost three times the legal limit of 0.08, according to nj.com.
