Scotch Plains Public Library announces new Virtual Author Talk Series

Virtual Author Talk Series beginning in January 2026 at the Scotch Plains Public Library

Beginning in January 2026, the Scotch Plains Public Library will showcase a virtual author talk series each month featuring bestselling, award-winning, and highly acclaimed authors from around the world. The featured writers and thought leaders will cover a wide range of fiction and nonfiction genres.

This virtual series takes place two to three times a month and includes the opportunity to ask questions of the author. Author Talks for January will be:

The Creative and Compassionate Art of Seeing Others Deeply with David Brooks, Leading Cultural and Political Commentator and Bestselling Author of The Road to Character, Tuesday, January 13th at 2 PM.

Nature, Art, and Service as Medicine with Journalist Julia Hotz, Journalist and Award-Winning Author of The Connection Cure, Tuesday, January 20th, 2PM

Secrets and Second Chances with Liz Moore, New York Times Bestselling and Award-Winning Author of The God of the Woods and Long Bright River, Wednesday, January 28th, at 7 PM
