The mother of Rose Carlin, 17, says her daughter had a loving family and friends, according to a published report.

The mother of the Woodbridge teenager who died this week told NJ.com that her daughter had a loving family and friends.

Rose Carlin, 17, was pronounced dead Monday after she was found at the Hilton Garden Inn at Raritan Center in Edison, authorities said.

Authorities said her death appeared to be drug related, but a final determination is pending autopsy results.

Police charged William A. King, 22, of Edison and Andrew A. Lindo, 22, of the Somerset section of Franklin Township, with endangering the welfare of a child, hindering apprehension and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the case.

Lindo’s sister told NJ.com that her brother was a harmless kid who had never before been in trouble.
