South Brunswick COVID Cases Drop 35%, Four Deaths Reported
South Brunswick reported 29 new COVID-19 cases and four related deaths.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The number of COVID-19 positive cases dropped yet again in South Brunswick, but the township saw more number of deaths compared to last week.
For the week of Feb. 7 – 13, South Brunswick reported 29 new COVID-19 cases and four related deaths. The past three days, the township recorded one new case each day.
During the week of Jan. 31 to Feb. 6, one COVID-19 related fatality was reported in the township.

The new COVID-19 numbers represents a 35% decrease in new cases than were reported last week.
Officials said the number of COVID cases are declining because residents are taking appropriate steps to keep the community safe by masks and social distancing.

South Brunswick currently has 2,013 cases of residents who have tested positive, and a total of 59 deaths attributed to the virus.
Among the new cases reported last week, 15 were men and 14 women, with three being under the age of 18.
COVID-19 Vaccine
A Rite Aid location in North Brunswick will administer the COVID-19 vaccines.
New Jersey added Rite Aid stores to its list of public COVID-19 vaccine sites for eligible recipients, including the store at 841 Georges Road.

Testing:
Ridgewood Labs is providing COVID-19 testing for South Brunswick residents. The testing site is on Route 27. Testing is done outdoors while you are seated in your car. There is no charge for the uninsured. Masks are mandatory. To register, visit https://test.sbnj.online/reg/sbnj.aspx
