South Brunswick Diner Shut Down By State
A South Brunswick diner was shut down by the state of New Jersey this week for owing thousands of dollars in sales tax.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Better get your pancakes elsewhere: A popular South Brunswick diner was shut down by the state of New Jersey this week for owing thousands of dollars in sales tax.
Dayton Diner on Rt. 130 was shut down by the state at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11. Hek Enterprises LLC (operating as Dayton Diner) had its premises seized by investigators with the New Jersey Division of Taxation. The diner owes more than $33,000 in unpaid sales taxes, state Treasury spokesman Willem Rijksen told Patch.
A Certificate of Debt was filed on April 13, 2017 in the amount of $33,827.63 for unpaid Sales Tax.

If Hek Enterprises makes satisfactory arrangements, the business can be released back to the owner, Rijksen said. At present time, the business remains closed. Dayton Diner is located at the intersection of Rt. 130 and Ridge Road.
