Nonprofit Helps South Orange Rescue Keep Ambulance On Road

The South Orange Rescue Squad recently got a big boost from a nonprofit when the engine in one of its ambulances needed replacement.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — The South Orange Rescue Squad recently got a big boost from a nonprofit when the engine in one of its ambulances needed replacement.

According to a social media post from the squad, the Aspiring Kindness Foundation donated $17,000 to help replace the engine. As a result, the SORS will be able to keep the vehicle on the road and responding to local emergencies.

The SORS wrote:

“Named in honor of one of the victims of the deadly Seton Hall University dorm fire in 2000, the Aspiring Kindness Foundation provides financial assistance to support and enhance the abilities of emergency responders. We are forever grateful for the help they have provided in service to the residents of South Orange and the surrounding communities.”
