You may have heard that the South Orange Rescue Squad is embarking on a fundraising project to assist in the construction of our new headquarters building.
The first event that we will be hosting will be a
Bunny’s Sports Bar
Saturday May 31st
from 9pm until midnight
It should be a very fun night of live music, food, drinks and an auction with some great prizes. Admission is free.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR GOODS OR SERVICES THAT WE CAN PUT UP FOR AUCTION AT THE EVENT. IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO CONTRIBUTE, WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.
We can be reached via phone at (973) 762-5647 or email at SORescue@verizon.net.
If you’re not familiar with us, we are an all-volunteer team that provides emergency medical services to South Orange and the surrounding communities. Simply put: if a resident or business needs emergency medical care, we are the ones at your doorstep, always ready and willing to help. There is never a fee for our services and none of our members are compensated for our medical or administrative time.
Our operating budget comes from donations from the community and NOT from taxpayer dollars. In the last year alone, our volunteers contributed nearly 17,500 hours of community service and responded to more than 1,200 EMS calls.
We are a community based organization that is dedicated to serving our neighbors when they need us most. Every penny that is donated to us goes towards the operation of the Rescue Squad (ambulance and building maintenance, emergency medical supplies and equipment) and the care of South Orange residents and visitors. The South Orange Rescue Squad is a 501(c)(3) organization and contributions are 100% deductible under IRS regulations.
We hope you’ll join us at Bunny’s on May 31. It is shaping up to be a very fun night. We will also have drawings of the plans for the new building on display for those who have expressed an interest in seeing them.
