His neighbor, Beth Kitzinger, told a reporter that drivers regularly roll through a pair of stop signs at the South Orange intersection, even though there are often kids on every corner.

In an effort to investigate their claims – and multiple others like it – CBS New York set up a video camera at the intersection. Footage of what followed can be seen below.

While the situation at Mayhew Drive and Overhill Road may be bad, there may also be other trouble spots in South Orange, resident Roberta Ruben Zweifler told Patch.

"The corner at Redmond and Harding is easily the match of Mayhew and Overhill," she said. "There was a resident uproar many years ago and a stop sign was put on Harding Drive opposite Redmond Road, because cars were whipping downhill from Laurel and heading downhill on Redmond Road as cars were traversing Harding Drive. That lasted a few years and the stop sign was removed. I have lived on Redmond Road for 47 years and have watched more than a few accidents and many more near misses from my kitchen window. Does it take a few deaths to remedy the situation?"
