Field Of Summit Council Candidates Narrows
Three women are grappling for two Common Council seats in Summit on Nov. 3.
SUMMIT, NJ — While a Democratic and Republican candidate are vying for the 1st Ward Common Council seat in Summit on Nov. 3, incumbent Council President Marjorie Fox is running unopposed for the 2nd Ward seat.
Earlier in the summer, her opponent, Republican Kirsten McCumber, left the race.
"In mid-July, Kirsten suspended her Common Council campaign for personal reasons," said Summit Republican Chairman Steven Spurr. "We are grateful for her hard work on the campaign trail — especially her tireless advocacy for Summit's small business community in such turbulent times."
