Hot Chicken Franchise Coming To New Jersey
If you like your chicken hot and spicy, you're in cluck. The Hollywood-area Dave's Hot Chicken is coming to 14 spots in North Jersey.
NEW JERSEY — If you like your chicken hot and spicy, you're in cluck. A popular chain of chicken restaurants that started as a food truck in a Hollywood parking lot is set to open in 14 stores in New Jersey, according to trade publications.

Dave's Hot Chicken boasts a short menu of chicken tenders and varieties "sourced and prepared to be the juiciest and most tender imaginable, with each piece topped with Dave's own mix of spices ranging from 'Mild' to 'The Reaper,' " along with mac and cheese, fries, and shakes.

The company announced last month that it had inked a deal with New Jersey-based restaurant investor Amit Patel to open 14 restaurants in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic, and Union Counties. The exact locations haven't been announced.
Patel already owns several Buffalo Wild Wings and Blaze Pizza eateries in New Jersey.

Patel did not respond to a request from Patch for more details, but said in a release, “The brand has an incredible following of fans who crave the atmosphere and food. I think there will be a lot of excitement in North Jersey for Dave’s Hot Chicken.”
“The New Jersey-New York DMA is very important to our growth,” CEO Bill Phelps said on Franchising.com. “I’m thrilled to introduce Dave’s Hot Chicken to more new customers throughout the East Coast.”
