SUMMIT, NJ — The Summit Police Department passed along information this week from various reports taken in March and April. Among them, it appears that the spread of coronavirus has influenced at least one theft in a medical office.

Police say that on March 12, at 12:27 p.m., they talked to an individual at a medical office on Overlook Road. The person reported a theft of items from a secure medical closet: 12 containers of purple wipes, three large cans of Lysol disinfectant spray, and four boxes of medium sized latex gloves.

The total value of the stolen items was not known, police said.
