Summit Gas Station Robber Hit Attendant In Head With Wrench Multiple Times: Police
Breaking: The suspect was described as a white male, 5'10, medium build, wearing a dark hooded sweat shirt, green gloves and dark bandanna.

SUMMIT, NJ — Summit Police are searching for an alleged gas station robber who hit an attendant in the head multiple times before stealing cash from the register Sunday night, police report.
A 9-1-1 call came in around 11 p.m. on July 9 at the Shell gas station located at 6 River Rd.
The gas station attendant reported that a male, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a dark bandanna covering his face, approached him on foot and demanded the cash from the register.

As the attendant turned and opened the register drawer, the male struck him in the back of his head with a large wrench. The male struck the attendant a second time across his head and then removed the cash from the register, police report.
The male fled the scene, running Northeast on River Road.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’10 tall, medium build, wearing a dark hooded sweat shirt, green gloves and a dark bandanna covering his face.
Multiple Summit Police units and the Union County Sheriff's Department K-9 unit searched the surrounding area but couldn't find the suspect.
The attendant, who suffered a laceration to his forehead, was transported to Morristown Medical Center by Summit EMS.
