Summit Storm Updates: See Closings, Cancellations, Parking, Snow Removal Impacts
On Tuesday, some resources and schedules have been modified.
SUMMIT, NJ — The City of Summit is facing more than a foot of snow on Monday, as municipal workers and residents continue to clear the roads.
Officials have announced a number of closings, adjustments, and reminders in the wake of the storm.

The 9-1-1 line should only be used in cases of someone being trapped or in immediate danger, a medical emergency, or when lives are at risk.
Do not call 9-1-1 or the Police Department to report power outages, snow-covered streets or unplowed roads, downed trees (unless injuries or immediate danger are present), or to ask general storm questions.

City Hall and Other City Offices: All buildings are on a delayed opening schedule beginning at 10 a.m.
Trash Pickup: Monday trash pickup has been moved to Tuesday and is running on a normal schedule.
The trash will be collected in the afternoon and may carry over into Wednesday, the City said.
Recycling: Scheduled recycling collection will be moved one day forward for all customers this week.
Planning Board: Meeting moved from Monday night to Tuesday, March 3 at 5 p.m. (Council Chambers)
Listening Session: Monday night's listening session for residents to speak with local leaders was been canceled.
Snow Instructions
All sidewalks should be cleared within 24 hours after continuous snowfall ends.
Parking
No parking is allowed on City streets or in municipal lots until the snow is cleared from curb to curb. Overnight parkers have to move vehicles to covered areas of the Broad Street Garage or the Tier Garage.
Cars left in prohibited areas can be ticketed and/or towed at the owner's cost.
Drivers must move cars immediately after plowing finishes.

Summit Public Schools are closed on Tuesday.
