Braille Sign at the Greenway, Mary S. Topolsky Garden

Visitors to the Mary Topolsky Garden and Trails, 640 River Road, Teaneck, can now tour the Garden, using their fingers to do the walking.

On September 5, the Braille map was presented to Dan Frye, Director of NJ Commission for the Blind. The Commission funded this project. Mr. Frey will help choose a spot for the map's location to be approachable by visitors.

The 3D map was funded by NJCBVI. It provides visitors who are blind with an opportunity to get a feel of the curving course of the Hackensack River through Teaneck and the locations of the Greenway’s trail loops.

The vision for Mary's Garden & Trail was always to make this section of the Greenway welcoming to visitors with disabilities. It is the only ADA section on the Greenway and was constructed in compliance with ADA standards for wheelchair use.
