Online Voting June 13-24 Will Determine Winners of National Contest
Teaneck, New Jersey, June 13, 2016 – BRYANT SCHOOL is one of 10 finalists in the 2016 Let’s Play Video Contest, courtesy of Dr Pepper Snapple (DPS) and the national non-profit KaBOOM!. From June 13 to June 24, community members and play advocates can vote online for their favorite playground video on facebook.com/letsplay. Each of the top five vote-getters will receive a $20,000 grant to purchase new playground equipment. Winners will be announced on June 27.
The grant is part of Let’s Play, an initiative by DPS to provide kids and families with the tools, places and inspiration to make active play a daily priority. Organizations nationwide submitted videos illustrating the importance of play for a chance to win one of the five $20,000 grants.

Over the past 6 years Bryant Schools Pre- School Program has grown to meet the needs of our diverse learners. Given the significant growth, the needs of the children and our responsibility to meet modern playground safety standards, we are relying on the assistance of grants and private donations to make this playground possible. What is unique about the construction plans are that the turfed area will be housed in an inner courtyard in the school to provide a safe, enclosed, maintenance free play area. While it contains special sensory equipment, all students will benefit from a spectacular space.
DPS launched Let’s Play in 2011 with a $15 million commitment to KaBOOM! and in 2014, Dr Pepper Snapple and KaBOOM! extended their partnership through 2016 with an additional $10 million commitment to continue providing kids with the active play they need. Via Let’s Play grants and projects, Dr Pepper Snapple and KaBOOM! have built or improved more than 2,400 playgrounds since 2011, to benefit more than 5 million children over the lifetime of the playgrounds.

Bryant School
At the Bryant School the theme is “A place where seeds of happiness and academic excellence are planted.” In harmony with that ideal, building this space for our integrated preschool and preschool disabled programs will provide essential supports for social, emotional and physical growth. The new playground will comply with current playground safety standards and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Ms. Leslie Abrew, Principal along with generous donations from families, businesses and fundraiser have raised a significant amount of capital to ensure it does not burden the Teaneck School District.
