Cyclist Hurt In Hit-And-Run, Teaneck Police Seek Driver

The driver of a lime green sports car is suspected in the hit-and-run crash, which sent a 45-year-old Oradell man to the hospital.

TEANECK, NJ — Police impounded a car, and said they are are still seeking a driver, in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday that injured a cyclist riding in Teaneck.

Teaneck Police said officers got the call about a crash near 75 East Forest Avenue on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., and the caller said a driver hit a cyclist and then fled the scene.

The victim, a 45-year-old Oradell man, told investigating officers that he was riding on East Forest when a car hit him and then drove off. First responders transported him to Hackensack University Medical Center with on-life threatening injuries.

A witness told police they saw a lime-green sports car flee the area after being involved in the crash. Officers found a car matching that description, that also had damage consistent with the accident, parked on Selvage Avenue.

Police impounded the vehicle and are still looking for the driver as of Friday morning.
