Firefighter, Resident Suffer Minor Injuries In Bergen House Fire
Crews from three other fire departments helped put out the two-alarm fire that broke out Sunday morning, officials said.
HACKENSACK, NJ — A firefighter and a resident suffered minor injuries in a house fire Sunday morning in Hackensack, officials said.
Dispatchers got a 911 call at 8:11 a.m. reporting a fire in the first block of Fair Street, according to the Hackensack Fire Department.
Crews from Teaneck, Englewood, and Bogota helped Hackensack companies put out the two-alarm blaze, the department said. Flames extended into the attic from the second floor, the HFD said on Facebook.

The fire was knocked down in 30 minutes and contained in an hour, according to Hackensack Fire.
The injured resident and firefighter both went to Hackensack University Medical Center, the department said.

The post from Hackensack FD did not specify which department the firefighter worked for.
Hackensack Police and the city building department were also on scene, as well as Hackensack UMC Basic Life Support, the HFD said.
Hackensack Fire Prevention is investigating the fire, officials said.
