Press Release: Recreation Department Begins Summer Registration

Host of programs available for a range of ages, recreation department announces.

The following press release was issued by the Teaneck Recreation Department.

The Teaneck Recreation Department is pleased to announce it’s Summer 2011 schedule for residents ages 18 months to 54 years. Mail-in registration for these programs begins Tuesday, May 31st and walk-in registration begins the week of June 13th

Creative Movement, KinderKraft, Kindergym, Toddlekins and Swim Lessons are offered for children 18 months to 4 years of age.

Arts and Crafts, Boys & Girls Basketball Clinic, Junior Golf, Swim Lessons, Tennis Lessons, Track & Field and Weight Training are offered for students from 5 to 17 years of age (please see our flyers for specific ages for each of these programs).

We will once again be offering our very popular Teaneck Tent Camp (Playground Program) for students ages 9 to 13 years of age. This exciting camp offers an opportunity to join other campers in a supervised program of arts and crafts, organized games, archery, knock hock tournaments and theme days. Campers embark on a field trip each week to fun destinations.

Additionally, we will be offering a Tennis Camp and a Mad Science Camp the week of August 8th.

Our summer adult class offerings are: Golf, Latin Ballroom Dance, Tai Chi Chuan, Swim, Tennis, Yoga for Relaxation and Weight Lifting.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss our programs with you and invite you to visit our office. Our current office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Beginning Tuesday, June 7 through Tuesday, July 26 our office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please call the administrative office at (201) 837-7130 ext. 1 and we will be pleased to answer any of your questions. Additionally, our program flyers and our complete brochure are available daily at the information table located in the hallway of the Richard Rodda Community Center; 250 Colonial Court at the south end of Votee Park from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
