Simon Appoints New Director of Marketing at The Shops at Riverside

Simon, a global leader in retail real estate, recently appointed Melissa Koronakis to the position of director of marketing and business development at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack.

In her new role, Koronakis will utilize her 10-plus years of marketing experience to position and promote The Shops at Riverside as it undergoes a transformative redevelopment that will offer a complete luxury shopping, dining and entertainment experience, further establishing the landmark property as the preeminent retail hub in Bergen County. Her day-to-day responsibilities will include managing communication initiatives and overseeing advertising, sales, marketing programs and public relations for the center.

A resident of Bergen County, Koronakis joins Simon and The Shops at Riverside team after most recently serving as marketing manager for Garden State Plaza, where she was responsible for developing and promoting programs that featured high end fashion and luxury brands. Koronakis has also held a marketing and promotions position for the magazine division of North Jersey Media group as well as public relations manager for Bloomingdale’s at The Shops at Riverside.
