Super SteelFit Championships Increases Prize Purse

MADISON, N.J., March 31, 2015 – The 3rd Annual Super SteelFit Championships, a series of intense functional fitness qualifying competitions leading up to the Finals on the Jersey Shore, has announced the increase of its prize purse as well as the breakdown for the Finals.

The one-day, all-day Finals will take place at Jenkinson’s Beach in Point Pleasant, NJ on Saturday, June 20. Top finalists from each of the four Qualifiers will compete in multiple workouts to determine the fittest of the fit. The total prize purse, which increased from last year’s $7,500, is currently over $9,000. In addition to prize money, all top finishers in RX, Scaled, and Executive (40+) divisions will also receive gifts and prizes.

“Over the past two years, not only has Super SteelFit increased in stature, but also in participants numbers and competition level. Therefore, we believe the prize purse should reflect this,” said Armand Milanesi, event founder. “We’re excited to give back to these amazing competitors and look forward to seeing these top-tier athletes compete for the prize.”

For the RX division, the breakdown is as follows: 1st Place Male and Female winners receive $2,500 each, 2nd Place Male and Female finishers receive $750 each, and 3rd Place Male and Female finishers receive $500 each.

For the Scaled division, 1st Place Male and Female winners will receive $400 each. 2nd Place Male and Female finishers will receive $250 each. 3rd Place Male and Female finishers will receive $150 each.

The Super SteelFit Championships will host the four Qualifiers (Westfield- April 25th, West Orange- May 2nd, Teaneck- May 9th, and Atlantic City- May 30th) at New Jersey Army National Guard Armories.
