Suspects Slash Bergen Man's Face During Carjacking: Police
An 18-year-old man went to a hospital with an apparent knife wound to his face after a reported carjacking, Teaneck Police said.
TEANECK, NJ — An 18-year-old man went to a hospital with an apparent knife wound to his face after a reported carjacking, Teaneck Police said.
Several suspects are still wanted in connection with the crime, but police have not released identifying information.
The victim, a New Milford resident, was in the area of Palisade Avenue and Grayson Place on Monday morning when another car "cut in front" of him by the intersection and blocked him in, police said. Then, the man said, some strangers rushed at him with weapons, according to the police report.

"According to the victim, several actors exited the suspect vehicle and ran to his vehicle, brandishing guns and knives," Teaneck Police said in a news release. "The victim was forcibly removed from his vehicle, a 2017 Acura MDX, which was taken by the actors. The victim flagged down a passing motorist, who notified police. The victim's vehicle was later recovered in NY. The suspect vehicle and suspects are still outstanding at this time."
The reported carjacking happened around 1:20 a.m. Monday, police said.

The victim went to Hackensack University Medical Center with a wound on his face, Teaneck PD said.
"During the robbery, the victim sustained what appeared to be a knife wound to his face that required medical attention," police said.
Teaneck Police ask anyone with information to call them at (201) 837-2600. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact the Tri Community Crime Stoppers at (201) 833-4222. This organization pays up to $1,000 cash rewards for information leading to the arrest of offenders, police said.
