Teaneck Community Charter School visits the Newark Museum

On October 15th the 7th and 8th grade students at Teaneck Community Charter School visited the Newark Museum to enrich their study of Astronomy and Earth Systems. Students visited the planetarium and saw an interesting show on “Extreme Planets.” This program described the possibility of life on Exoplanets, planets that are found outside of our Solar System.

The students then explored a visiting exhibit called “Great Balls of Fire! Comets, Asteroids, Meteors,” where they did a variety of hands on activities. Later students went on a tour of the Dynamic Earth Gallery. They investigated fossils, tectonics, climate change and cave formation. It was an amazing day!
