Teaneck MIT Student's Thesis Could Revolutionize The Real Estate Industry
Avi Spielman's thesis focused on real estate title and financial transactions.

TEANECK, N.J. — A township resident received a prestigious award from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for his thesis that could transform the real estate industry.
Avi Spielman received the Govan Entrepreneurship Award from the MIT Center for Real Estate for his thesis regarding the recording of title and financial real estate transactions.
The thesis examines how blockchain's database system — the same technology that power Bitcoin digital currency — could revolutionize the way the public records are processed, maintained, and verified. Spielman believes the technology can be adapted to serve the real estate industry.
