Drill Underway At South Toms River Elementary School
Police and the Ocean County sheriff's office issued alerts that there is a large law enforcement presence for the drill.
SOUTH TOMS RIVER, NJ — A large law enforcement drill is underway at South Toms River Elementary School on Monday morning, borough police and the Ocean County sheriff's office said.
Both agencies issued alerts about the drill that started about 8:30 a.m. and was expected to run until noon, South Toms River police said.
The joint training drill involves the police department, South Toms River EMS, the Office fo Emergency Management and the Manitou Park Fire Department, police said.

"Please expect a large presence of first responders on and around school property during these times. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.," South Toms River police said.
