'Swatting' Incident In Toms River Prompts School Shelter Order
Police said a threat made by a caller has been confirmed to be unfounded and the shelter-in-place was lifted.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A swatting incident in Toms River that prompted a shelter-in-place at one of the district's schools is under investigation, police said Tuesday.
Toms River police are searching for the caller who made the threat, police said in posts on social media. Police did not specify the nature of the threat, but said it has been confirmed as unfounded.
The incident led to a shelter-in-place order at Toms River High School North as a precaution, police said. That order had been lifted as of 12:30 p.m.
