Toms River Heroes Take On NFL Pros In Charity Flag Football Game

Win tickets to see Hootie & the Blowfish during the game Wednesday that benefits the Toms River Police Foundation.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Police Foundation will present its annual Pros vs. Heroes Charity Flag Football Game on the beach in Seaside Park on Wednesday.

The game, set for 7 p.m. on Wednesday, pits local heroes from the police department against professional athletes, including former NFL players.

The game is presented by The Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation, and will be held at Funtown Beach in Seaside Park (in front of the Sawmill).

There will be a K9 demonstration at halftime, and spectators can enter a drawing to win a pair of tickets to see Hootie & The Blowfish in August at Madison Square Garden.

The event is free and benefits the Toms River Police Foundation through sponsors.
