14-Year-Old Charged With Arson In Wall Towing Company Fire

Three firefighters were injured while fighting the blaze Thursday, police said.

Wall, NJ -- A 14-year-old boy has been charged with intentionally setting a fire at a Wall Township towing company that injured three firefighters, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

Charles Webster, spokesman for the prosecutor's office, on Saturday evening said the teen is from Georgia and had been staying with someone in the area.

Details on how the teen set the fire were not available.

The structure fire at Taylor's Towing on Thursday sent two firefighters to the hospital -- a third was treated at the scene -- and took nearly three hours to extinguish, Wall Lt. Greg Carpino said. Fire companies and personnel from around the county responded to assist Wall Township, he said.

West Hurley Pond Road was closed for five hours, he said.
