Far Hills Country Day School’s Head of School, Jayne Geiger, To Be Honored For Her Role In Teaching and Advocating Compassion

FAR HILLS, NJ—On April 25, 2013, prominent leadership development non-profit organization, Platinum Minds will host its sixth annual dinner to recognize the need for greater compassion for children losing their lives as a result of senseless violence.  At the event, Far Hills Country Day School’s Head of School, Jayne Geiger, will be honored for her role in teaching and advocating compassion.  She will speak on the importance of demonstrating and role modeling compassion and the consequences of non-action.

“Compassion” is the theme for this year’s extravaganza that will remember children who have died due to unnecessary violence and youth who face gang violence and death as a way of life in their neighborhoods.  “We must stand together to make a change for our children to be a role model of citizens who care about children, regardless of what neighborhood they are from,” said Yvette Long, Executive Director of Platinum Minds.  “Platinum Minds celebrates our youth and helps them rise above circumstances to realize their full potential through compassion and opportunity.”

Anyone who has recognized this trend, wants to make a difference, join the cause or wants to discover how Platinum Minds is addressing this concern, is welcome to join in an evening of dining, light music, auction and presentations.
