Journet to India Through Song

Come join us at the Center at 8 p.m. March 12 for an evening of stirring classical and semi-classical Indian vocals with renowned international musician Mitali Banerjee Bhawmick as she presents the music of Rajasthan, Punjab, Bengal, Assam, and more. During the event, Bhawmick will be accompanied on the tabla by Shree Amod Dandawate and on the harmonium by Shree Madhu Vora.

Kavita Thotakura will open the Heritage to India celebration at the WAC by performing a welcome dance in the Indian semi-classical dance form before the concert. This event takes place in the Upper Gallery, currently home to the powerful, colorful March exhibit India From My Window.

Tickets are $18 (WAC members $15, students $8) and can purchased in advance online at www.watchungarts.org or via check (made payable to Watchung Arts Center and mailed to the Center with your name and number of tickets). Tickets can also be purchased at the door by check or cash (however, seating is limited).
