Mark Caliguari to fill unexpired term of Jack Ciattarelli.

Montgomery Mayor Mark Caliguire has been appointed to the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders to fill the unexpired term of Assemblyman-Elect Jack M. Ciattarelli, who resigned as freeholder following his election to the New Jersey General Assembly.

Caliguire will be sworn in at the next Freeholder Board meeting, scheduled at 7 p.m. on  Dec. 13.  The ceremony will take place in the Freeholders’ Meeting Room, located on the third floor of the county Administration Building at 20 Grove St.

The political organization of an outgoing elected official who resigns mid-term is required to choose a replacement.  Caliguire was selected for the unexpired freeholder term during a Nov. 29 meeting of Somerset County Republican leaders.
