Gov. Murphy Honors Longtime Wayne Schools Employee
In an Instagram post, Murphy remembered Koransky, who "dedicated her career to Wayne Public Schools."
WAYNE, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy has paid his respects to longtime Wayne Public Schools employee Suzanne Koransky.
On Instagram, the governor remembered Koransky, who died from complications of COVID-19 after 20 years of service to Wayne Public Schools.
"We remember Suzanne Koransky. She dedicated her career to the Wayne Public Schools, first as the nurse at Schuyler Colfax Middle School before becoming the district-wide Supervisor of Health Services. May God bless her," he wrote.

A memorial scholarship has been created in her honor by the Wayne Board of Education and the Koransky family. It will be awarded annually to a graduating Wayne student pursuing a career in nursing.
Prior to her career within Wayne schools, Koransky worked as a nurse in Hackensack.
