BREAKING: The 23-year-old woman had scratches and bruises on her after she was assaulted between 3:30 and 4 a.m. Sunday, police said.

WAYNE, N.J. — Former Wayne Hills quarterback Kevin Olsen threatened to strangle himself with a phone charger before he sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman Sunday, a Mecklenburg County prosecutor said in court Monday morning.
Olsen, 22, was expected to be freed on $103,000 bond Monday on charges of forcible rape, forcible fondling, assault and intimidation, The Charlotte Observer reported.

Assistant District Attorney Kristen Northrup said Olsen and the woman went out for drinks and got separated, which is when Olsen sent her a text message threatening to kill her, the report said.
Once back at Olsen's apartment, Olsen took a phone charger, threatened to kill himself, argued with the woman, punched her in the face and assaulted her three times, the report said.

The woman had scratches and bruises early Sunday morning when she went to hospital, a police report on the incident states.
Olsen spent the night in jail, the Observer's report said.
Olsen, who played for his father Chris in high school, has been in trouble with the law since his senior year at Wayne Hills High School.
Olsen, the youngest brother of the Carolina Panthers' Greg Olsen, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after he smashed his car into two vehicles and a tree in Wayne May 25, 2013. A police report on the incident stated that Olsen’s face appeared to have blood on it and that he “appeared to be under the influence of something.”
He was a four-star recruit and one of the top-rated quarterbacks coming out of high school. He was expected to be the starting quarterback at the University of Miami, but was dismissed from the team and school after violating team rules several times. He never played a down for the Hurricanes.
Olsen went to Townson University in Maryland but left that school due to disciplinary problems. He ended last year as the backup quarterback at UNC Charlotte, but has been suspended from the team.
