Radio Host, Author Brian Wilson Coming Home To Wayne For Book Signing

His latest book is a heartwarming true story. He'll be at The Fine Grind in Wayne on October 7.

When you think of radio in the tri-state area, especially fun, witty, laugh-out-loud radio, you probably think of Brian Wilson. Depending upon your age, you may recall Ross & Wilson on WABC in the 80s, or on Z-100 in the 90s. Perhaps you've heard him in on the air another city -- he's been on the air in Washington, Atlanta, Baltimore, and San Francisco, just to name a few!

So when you hear that Brian has a new book out, you probably assume it’s about zany radio jokes or the latest goings on in DC. But as Brian says, “That would be wrong.”

Watercolor Memories: The Story of Lauren is a charming tale of high school romance. He describes it as, “Boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy finds girl – but this time, it takes 15 years, two proms, college, marriage, divorce, kids, careers, over 10,000 miles, a chess playing cop and some strange guy with a beard.”

Much of the story takes place in Northern New Jersey -- Wayne, to be exact. “I started my original scribblings in 1981 when I was working in New York. Being back in the area, visiting my parents at our farm on Ratzer Road, brought back a boat load of memories," he notes. "It only took a couple of decades to finish it!"

“I’m really pleased to have the opportunity to be back in Wayne and having the book signing at The Fine Grind. I hope to see some friendly faces there."

The author of this love story hasn’t changed his stripes too much – you will still find him behind the microphone discussing current events for his Libertas Media Project podcast. “Judging Freedom” includes a rowdy conversation between Brian and FOX News Senior Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano.

While a Brian Wilson podcast seems like a natural, these days he appears to be a little more interested in the written word rather than the spoken word. His next project? Another book of course. This time the topic is a bit more in keeping with expectations. Fifty Stories: Fifty Years in Radio is scheduled to be out before the holidays.

When he’s not podcasting or writing, Brian spends time on his bass boat, fishing near his home at Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia.

Brian Wilson will be signing his latest book, Watercolor Memories: The Story of Lauren, at The Fine Grind, 239 Berdan Ave., Wayne, Saturday, October 7 from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.
