911 Audio Released In Fatal NJ Strip Mall Shooting
Recently released 911 tapes reveal a loss prevention specialist told police one of the suspects was wanted for murder, nj.com reports.

Recently released audio from the 911 call in a fatal police-involved shooting at a South Jersey strip mall brings some clarity to the events surrounding the death of 36-year-old LaShanda Anderson, of Philadelphia.
The loss prevention specialist at Marshall's in Deptford Crossing placed the call, asking for help apprehending two suspected shoplifters. When the dispatcher responded, “we don't stop them sir, you have to stop them,” he continued.
“One has a warrant for manslaughter,” he told the dispatcher in the video. “I'm gonna need help stopping them.”

The dispatcher asked how he knew one of them had a warrant for manslaughter, but never received an answer. The audio can be heard in the video embedded below.
The loss prevention specialist also struggled to provide descriptions for the suspects, and is unable to respond later when the dispatcher asks him for additional information.

“He's not cooperating,” the dispatcher told Deptford Township police who were sent to the scene.
Anderson was shot while she was driving a rented Nissan Armada at two officers in the parking lot on the afternoon of June 9, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
It's possible the security guard didn't respond to the dispatcher's questions because he was involved in a struggle with 42-year-old Raoul Gadson. The prosecutor's office has said Gadson was fighting in the store while Anderson and 38-year-old Chanel Barnes, also of Philadelphia, attempted to flee the scene.
The security guard was never specific about which suspect he believed the warrant was for.
Anderson had an extensive criminal history that included several shoplifting incidents at Marshall’s stores, and an attempted murder charge back in 2015. That charge was later dropped after a mistrial, according to nj.com.
Audio of the shooting is included in the tape, with police heard yelling, “Shots fired! Shots fired!” After the shooting, Barnes was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She is currently out on bail.
Gadson fled the scene, but was arrested less than a week later and charged with second-degree robbery and second-degree assault.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office has identified the police officer who shot Anderson as Deptford Township Police Sgt. Kevin Clements. Clements is a 17-year veteran, according to the prosecutor’s office.
“The investigation of this incident is being conducted in accordance with stringent guidelines promulgated by the NJ Attorney General’s Office,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement. “This office will release its findings to the public at the appropriate time, but not, obviously, before the completion of its investigation, which involves additional witness interviews and the analysis of forensic evidence. I can assure you that our review will be thorough, impartial and consistent with the Attorney General’s guidelines.”
