West Deptford Detective Anthony Scirrotto Retires After 25 Years
Retiring West Deptford Police Detective Anthony Scirrotto recently retired after 25 years of service.

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — Anthony Scirrotto has retired after 25 years of service from the West Deptford Police Department. He was honored by the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders on Friday, Dec. 6.
Scirrotto came to the West Deptford Police Department in 1992 as a Class II Special Officer, according to Gloucester County officials. In 1994, Scirrotto joined the Paulsboro and East Greenwich police departments before returning to the West Deptford Police Department in 1998 as a patrolman.
In 2014, through his dedication and hard work, Scirotto was promoted to the position of West Deptford Police Department Detective. He spent his free time as a volunteer coach with the West Deptford baseball and youth football leagues.

“Detective Scirrotto served many community-centered roles in his time as an officer including School Resource Officer, DARE and LEAD Instructor, and participated in events such as National Night Out and Safety Town,” Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said.
“Anthony Scirrotto spent his 25 years of public service making his community a safer place and building strong relationships between himself and local youth,” Gloucester County Freeholder Jim Jefferson said. “That is time well spent and we wish him continued success and enjoyment in his retirement.”
