5 New Businesses You Can Expect To See In Westfield In 2019

This year saw 29 new businesses appear in town. Will 2019 top that?

WESTFIELD, NJ - Mayor Shelley Brindle ended her first year in office as "full-time volunteer mayor" highlighting the changes brought to the business approach downtown and what residents and visitors can expect going forward.

Brindle said Westfield created opportunities to improve the business climate in town by significantly reducing parking enforcement downtown while expanding free parking, passed ordinances allowing rooftop dining and craft breweries downtown and provided greater latitude to Zoning Official to grant parking variances to minimize unnecessary applications to the Board of Adjustment.

These changes, in part, are what are allowing more businesses to come to town, including these five expected to open in early 2019:
