7 Heartbreaking Incidents On Easter Weekend: NJ Highway Closure
Pictures of a fatal crash showed the car underneath the rear of a tractor trailer on Monday morning.

At least seven people were killed in a series of tragic incidents that happened in New Jersey on Easter weekend. Several of the incidents involved fatal car accidents that shut down portions of state highways.

Also, four homes were destroyed on Sunday in Sea Isle City in a series of fires, according to police. The blazes happened at approximately 5:05 a.m.on the 200 block of 75th Street.
While battling the fires, a firefighter from the Sea Isle City Fire Department sustained minor injuries and was transported via ambulance to Cape Regional Hospital, according to police. Here is a video of the fire:

- A 22-year-old pedestrian was killed in a fatal hit-and-run that took place on Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick early Saturday morning, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. The pedestrian has been identified as Anthony Cruz-Medina, 22, of New Brunswick. He was struck by a car on Livingston Avenue near Baldwin Street at approximately 12:40 a.m. Read more here...
- A son was charged with killing his father on Friday, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office. The incident happened around 9:44 a.m. when officers from the Millville Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 block of Carlton Avenue and discovered 66-year old Gary Tedesco dead from stab wounds, according to the CCPO. He died following an altercation with his son, Michael Tedesco, 38 of Millville, who left the scene of the murder in his father's vehicle. Michael Tedesco - The Hudson County Regional Collision Unit and Jersey City Police Department were investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle on Friday at Morton Place and Bergen Avenue in Jersey City, prosecutors said. A man was riding a motorcycle when he collided with car, according to nj.com.
- A shooting in Camden on Sunday left two dead and one injured, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. - A 23-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Cherry Hill on Saturday, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. The unidentified man died in the area of Route 70 and Marlkress Road. Read more here: Man Killed After Being Hit By Car In Cherry Hill: Police
