Directors say the 100-member band has big potential as they refine their shape-themed show and prepare for their next contest at Union High School, while inviting interested students to consider joining next year.

Pulliam, a longtime veterinary pathologist and Army Reserve colonel who lived in Westfield and worked for Merck. His obituary appears alongside notices for several other veterinarians nationwide, with suggested memorial donations to Habitat for Humanity in nearby Plainfield for those wishing to honor his legacy.
