Union County Man Sentenced For Having Child Porn On Laptop

UNION COUNTY, NJ — A Union County man was sentenced to 80 months in prison for receiving videos and images of child sexual abuse, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced Thursday.

Joshua Cremosnik, 50, of Rahway, previously pleaded guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography.

U.S. District Judge Julien Xavier Neals imposed the sentence Thursday in Newark federal court.

From April to August 2021, Cremosnik received videos of child sexual abuse via a publicly available online peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing program, according to documents filed in this case and statements made in court.

A search of his home found numerous videos and images of child sexual abuse on Cremosnik’s laptop and electronic storage media.

Cremosnik admitted using the P2P network to request and receive child pornography materials and stored those materials on his laptop and electronic storage media.

In addition to the prison term, Cremosnik was sentenced to five years of supervised release and ordered restitution of $208,694.
