Come to Arts & Ends for Fashion Advice and Accessories
Arts & Ends has been selling unique clothing in Westwood for 38 years
When Beverly Adler graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in art, the last thing on her mind was opening an art shop.
“I didn’t want to open up a store at all,” Adler said. “But I had to make a living.”
She worked as a graphic artist for five years before she had to start a store to support her family. In 1973, Adler opened in Westwood.

Arts & Ends began as a commercial art store, where Adler would display and sell other artists’ work. She bought paintings to display along with one-of-a-kind jewelry and handmade pottery.
But this art store quickly transformed into a unique clothing shop.

“I started bringing in some artsy clothes,” she said. “Now I buy clothes from all over the country.”
Adler likes to show trendy, up-to-date clothes in her store. She said she’s looking to sell fashionable pieces and items you’d see on TV and in magazines.
Arts & Ends also sells accessories including scarves, jewelry and handbags.
Adler’s clothing and accessories are fit for women ranging from age 18 to 50.
“It’s a very broad range and I carry all sizes 0 to 12,” she said.
Adler, along with her two part-time employees, now help their customers prepare for events. Whether women are getting ready for small gatherings or large-scale events, the staff at Arts & Ends is there to help.
“We have a lot of repeat customers because they know they can count on us,” she said. “They’ll come in for events or they’ll come in just because it’s the weekend and they have something to go to.”
Adler said this is her favorite part of the job.
“I really like putting people together, their clothing and accessories,” she said.
Although the focus shifted from art to clothing, Adler still keeps a small gift department in her store.
“The gifts are a little bit more functional and it’s handcrafted but not one-of-a-kind any more,” she said.
Arts & Ends has remained in business in Westwood for 38 years.
