Crash Snarls Traffic on Old Hook Road

Motorists traveling toward downtown Westwood on Old Hook Road Tuesday afternoon found themselves in a traffic jam.

Shortly after 4 p.m., police said there was a crash at the intersection of Old Hook and Kinderkamack roads. Both parties were taken to area hospitals, but their injuries appeared to be minor, police said.

A police car blocked traffic traveling on Old Hook Road at Roosevelt Avenue and cars were backed up to Sand Road around 4:30 p.m.

According to police, once the area is clear, the roadway will be reopened.
