Downtown Westwood Hosting "Go West and Shop"

Local shops and restaurants hope to attract business to the area while raising money for St. Jude Research Hospital.

Thirty-eight Westwood businesses are working together to draw shoppers to the borough and raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Local business owners are offering special deals during the "Go West and Shop" event, organized by the Westwood Chamber of Commerce and Bergen Mama. Also, the first 100 shoppers each day will receive free "swag bags" with some free merchandise and coupons for extra savings. The bags can be picked up outside the on Thursday and Friday and in Saturday.

There will also be cupcakes from and a free Kimmy Schwimmy concert in the park Saturday.

Some of the deals offered by local stores include 15 percent off at , 20 percent off at and 25 percent off at. Local restaurants, including and are offering discounts.

All of the businesses involved in Go West and Shop are making donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Angels for Hope Committee. For a complete list of the participating businesses, see the attached flier.
