Household Hazardous Waste Collections in Bergen County

The Bergen County Utilities Authority is collecting hazardous household waste products, open to Bergen County residents with proper identification.

Acceptable materials include: 

  • aerosol cans
  • anti-freeze
  • rechargeable batteries
  • mercury switches
  • propane gas cylinders
  • used motor oil
  • paints and varnishes
  • used oil filters
  • fluorescent light bulbs
  • insecticides
